I made Discoland Inferno after getting home from a court date for a show cause trial because the city is applying to press criminal charges against me and my co-op for raising three ducks and two chickens. I know how that sounds, but there you have it. We got a citation a while ago and have been fighting it and have an appeal hearing tomorrow but the city got impatient and wanted to see us in court. Pretty calm and relaxing way to spend the afternoon. Discoland Inferno has mostly chalk pastels in it, but also some oil pastel and some conte. I kinda imagine a jaded version of you (purple strands of hair in the middle) carrying two ducks (I see the brown fields as their beaks here) here. I’m completely wrong, aren’t I? Anyway, I somehow “feel” this very much – of course, it’s not sth. to make one comfortable (not at all), but makes me emotional on a different layer…
