I made this piece while listening to “Music has the Right to Children” and “The Campfire Headphase” by Boards of Canada.  I started out with a big triangle in the middle of the paper, which you can see the top of.  I was inspired by PART II:  About Painting, an essay by Kandinsky my friend Geeta Dayal suggested to me yesterday, which references examples of the triangle as a harmonizing compositional element.  My triangle bloated into more of a dome or semicircle.  I am allowing some symbolic references to bubble up here, but my method is to pull them up as I see them form on the paper.

If you would like to buy this drawing I would be happy to sell it to you.  The price for just the drawing is an easy to afford $70.  If you’d like it matted it will cost you an additional $70 for museum quality acid free mat, outer mat dimensions something like 24″x30″ with a 18″x23″ hole.  Mat is expensive and until I can afford to buy my own mat cutter I have to have it cut by the friendly folks at Artist and Craftsman.  If you’d like it matted and framed the total will be $210.  All these prices include shipping anywhere in the USA.  If you are interested in international shipping please email me (electroblake at gmail dot com) for a quote.
