Patiently Waiting Beneath Cat Ghost Island

I started this one out listening to Ladytron‘s Witching Hour. Destroy Everything You Touch is a great song to start off a new piece of art. Next came Silent Shout by The Knife, another high energy album, and finally Lost and Safe by The Books.

I’ve been doing some art history research. I read about 80 pages about Henri Matisse last night, and I watched a DVD documentary on Miro a couple of nights ago. Both of these artists had symbolic figures they used repeatedly in their work. Miro had his jack in the boxes and his little monsters, Matisse his stylized coral formations and dancers. So perhaps it is not so bad to develop a vocabulary of abstractions. I had thought that maybe you all would get tired of my little green aliens and disco balls but you know probably I will get tired of them first, so here they are.
