Back to brushes! This painting is in a style similar to She Dreams of Fishes, and has similar dreamlike and contemplative themes running through it. These two may become the beginning of a dream series. I enjoy the interplay of dark and bright regions. The composition is vibrant, with powerful gestural lines countered by delicate doodles. In the lower right a stick figure angle seems to spring from the head of a figure suggesting a nun with eyes closed. A fallen angel, with wings clipped falls upon her chest. Squared off regions of bright colors throughout the painting are reminiscent of the stained glass found in places of worship or contemplation.
