The Playful Seal

I’ve got all this Miro and Kandinsky in my head battling it out, and I think a bit of Mondrian still though really just in that basic geometry is nice sort of way. I am experimenting with aspects of implied narrative, symbolism, and abstract geometry. The light colors in the background give the composition an airy, dreamlike feeling.

This composition was created while listening to Oracular Spectacular by MGMT and Silent Shout by the Knife. Also will someone please send a memo to bands telling them to make their home pages sparse and well organized repositories for information such as who they are, where they can be seen, and where their music and videos and be viewed and purchases, and not an all out multimedia assault likely to turn a fan’s machine into the spinning beach ball show for minutes at a time.
