18" x 24" acrylic on canvas - click to enlarge

So what even happened once I got back from my wonderful trip to Romania? Why, I kept on painting of course. And I kept working with some of the techniques I learned while at the residency, such as keeping the paint really wet and working with the canvas on the floor or on a table. I also went out and bought myself a gallon of acrylic gloss medium, which adds body and makes the paint really shiny. This one also has a bit of sand in it. The sand does some interesting things to the texture.

I think this one is really pretty creepy. Like some kind of horrible space monster.

Click on one of the thumbnails below to download a high resolution poster formatted image that you can print out yourself or send out to a photo printing service like Adoramapix. Why am I doing this? It’s just too much work to produce and ship individual prints and I would rather spend that time painting. Want to give me some money for it? Just hit that donate button up on the upper right. While you’ve got your eyeballs up there, go ahead and like me on the face books and sign up for that mailing list that I’ll eventually send mail out to.
