"Jump In With Both Feet Right Away" 40" x 30" acrylic on canvas

My favorite things about this painting are the balance of bright colors combined with sweeping, swooping, curvaceous brush strokes in the upper left half of the canvas and the dark, mostly grays and muted colors expressed in mostly short, straight, and fast brush strokes, drips, splatters and thrown paint trails in the lower right.

I also really like the little maroon-grey guy in the lower left, peering up from off canvas like oh what is going on here anyway? These sort of characters are starting to fade out of my work, I’m not feeling as much of a need to put eyeballs on everything, but sometimes I still think it really works. What do you think?

This is a 40″ x 30″ gallery depth canvas.
