Here is the third painting from my residency at Arthouse Garana in Garana, Romania. This painting was made in the same fashion as “Put That on the Table,” which is to say I painted it on the floor, standing and kneeling over it and applying very wet paint, allowing it to pool in places and moving it around.
Geeta says this one reminds her a bit of Kandinsky, who I’ve been moving away from in my recent work but who has been a huge influence. I think it’s just because of the sort of distorted checkerboard / hashmark in the lower right, but it’s nice to see.
